A Long Weekend in Luxe Loungewear
White + Warren President Catherine Morrissey took our new loungewear on a weekend getaway with cashmere looks that you can wear at home, on the go, and all points in between.
Over two decades ago, my mother, Susan White Morrissey, founded White + Warren and made it her mission to bring affordable luxury cashmere to stylish women everywhere. Fast-forward to today, we work side-by-side on what has become our shared passion: creating sweaters that you love to live in.
With more time spent around the house, we’re finding new ways to deliver comfort with our At-Home Shop. The curated collection of casual yet chic loungewear is made to be worn at home, on the go, and all points in between.
To put this to the test, I recently took a few of my favorite things on a trip to The Reform Club in Amagansett, New York. The pieces that I packed are versatile enough to take you to the living room and beyond. Here is a behind-the-scenes look at my long weekend in our coziest loungewear.
“This robe is nice and roomy, so I threw it on for the car ride up here. It’s heavier than a cardigan, lighter than a coat, and just oversized enough to pair it with a simple T-shirt, like I did, or a cashmere sweater when it gets really cold out there. Plus, the shawl collar is super cozy.”
“The robe is great for having breakfast in or outdoors. Cashmere is the ultimate luxury, and this feels as comfy as your bathrobe but way more chic. It’s effortless and yet refined at the same time. A cup of coffee, the paper, and cozy slippers are the only accessories you need.”
“We're all spending more time in sweatpants these days, but a cashmere version is infinitely more elevated. (It’s also more breathable than traditional sweats.) Wearing luxe cashmere from head-to-toe feels like butter next to your skin. The elastic waistband is super soft and forgiving.”

“To me, having a tailored coat draped around my shoulders makes a sweatsuit feel more polished. I’ll wear it with sneakers on the weekend or during a trip to the Farmers’ Market.”
“This cardigan is truly my favorite cardigan. If you could call something ‘my work-from-home uniform’ during Covid-19, this is it. I wear it at least once a week, whether with leggings and a tank or an easy pair of jeans. It's perfect for working—and yes, lounging—around the house.”
“This cardigan is my go-to when I want to look put-together. From the patch-front pockets to the buttons, it feels finished. It’s also my favorite boyfriend cardigan that we’ve ever done because it's a bit more oversized and hits at the most flattering place while giving you extra coverage.”
